For years I’ve been attracted to water. As a child I was fascinated by the television documentaries of Jaques Yves Cousteau and I decided that one day I would explore the underwaterworld myself. In 1994 I made my First dive near Frejus in the south of France and in 1995 I was certified as a scuba diver and my quest underwater could begin. I started diving the Dutch coastal waters like the Oosterschelde and Grevelingen. Over the years I expanded my experience diving in France (Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean), Greece, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Luxemburg, Switzerland and Croatia.
In 2008 I was certified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver (the highest level of recreational diving) to be followed with a certification as a PADI Divemaster and IANTD Advanced EANx diver in 2009.

I enroled the Fête Européenne de l'Image Sous-Marine et de l'Environnement in Strasbourg (France). This festival is the non-official European Championships in underwater photography. It will be held at the Cite de la musique et de la danse from 9th to 12th February 2012. I produced an eight minute audiovisual presentation of images of the Zeeland region both under water and above. The images are acompanied by Music and texts.
It’s the second time I’m one of the contestors. The First time (2009) my audiovisual presentation ended up 16th in a field of 26 contestors.

The DUIKERSGIDS is a Dutch annual published diving guide. It provides information of dozens of dive sites in mainly in The Netherlands but also in Belgium and Germany. Each year exotic destinations are described. The best sites are published and updated in each issue. In each issue new sites are introduced.
I contributed images and texts to the issues of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. I visited several sites to check the content of information. The new issue will be published in February 2012 and I contributed with images of several dive sites.
