Agenda

Vrsar is an old picturesque town at the Istrian peninsula. The very promising underwater World surrounding Istria was a bit dissapointing. The caves and caverns in the Adriatic Sea form nice dive sites but the lack of much interesting animals was not what I expected. One of the most interesting dive sites is the small island near Rovinj called Banjole. Divers enter the island through an underwater cave and in the center of the island the roof collapsed. Under the burning sun this hole creates a spectecular play of light.

I met with a nice couple from Utrecht and I made all my dives together with them using the services of the Orsera divingcentre at the campingsite Orsera. One day we made a trip with the Starfish divecentre to the wreck of the Baron Gautsch.
