Underwaterphotography

Of all different types of photography underwater photography is probably the most difficult to practice. It requires a specialized equipment and knowledge of advanced techniques to get the right picture. The photographer needs to get the correct exposure, accurate focus, controlled movement of your subject (and yourself) and a pleasing color balance. The underwater photographer also has to deal with low light. Underwater photos offten suffer from loss of colors and contrast.

Underwater photography offers many exciting photographic opportunities for great images. Most underwater photographers use digital camera covered in a watertight casing.

In may 1997 I was certified as a SSI Underwater photographer and since then I was more or less occupied with analogue photography. Ten years later I changed to digital underwater photography. I’ve published in both digital and printed media. I write articles and texts which are combinated with my own (underwater) photography. I tributed to several international publications. Today I’m still working on new articles for international publications.
